After being a proponent of the wet shave for many years - electric razors give me a horrible rash I tried a cut-throat razor. Let's just say that didn't go well. I have contacted the vendor for their feedback as the blade wasn't held correctly to begin with;. Sooooo, I was a little wary buying a safety razor that I had not looked at or held. My fears were unjustified. This razor gave me the best shave, other than those at a Turkish barber, that I have ever given myself. The unit holds the blade perfectly in place and the adjustibility of the unit is exceptional. I found that my first set of passes WTG shaved smoothly and effectively at the lowest blade setting. I finished the fiddly bits with a setting of 1.5 (experiment with it if you decide to buy this razor, it will be very personal) and this morning have a face like a baby's bum (some might say it looks like one too but who am I to say) In brief then - highly recommended
